Support for your journey

What if you're not ready to date or need more time to heal from a relationship?

Here are some activities that has helped me greatly as I navigate through singlehood.

1. Counselling

We're living in a broken world and each of us carry pieces of brokenness within us.

It's a little easier when we have a professional to walk us through our experiences (both the happy and sad times).

I have gained clarity on who I am, why I react in certain ways and what is driving that.

There's no shame to counselling. Don't be afraid to take that first step to book a session!

2. Silent Retreats

In our fast pace society, our brains are often filled with “noises” from the world. How often do we quieten down to rest and seek the Lord?

Community for Spiritual Formation offers (i) silent retreats that follows the Christian year and (ii) spaces for personal time of quiet with the Lord.

Reflections from my silent retreat (25 March 2022)

If you're feeling disheartened, anxious, sad, doubtful, lonely, uncertain - I hope this love letter will bring some encouragement to you.

Came for this retreat with a heavy heart, messy mind and unsettled emotions. As I turn my eyes from myself to behold God in His greatness and goodness, the things of earth grew strangely dim. My "big" worries shrunk in the light of His glory and grace.

The Lord spoke gently to me on this day. He patiently address my concerns and reassured me of His love for me and my identity as His child.

4. Restore & Rebuild (RR)

RR is a ministry by Bartley Christian Church which supports & cares for those who are in separation or divorce. It uses the DivorceCare material over 13 sessions from April to November on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month from 2:30pm to 5:30pm with a vacation break in the month of June. Topics in this support group include Road to Recovery, Anger, Grief and Depression, Single Living, Financial & Legal issues etc

If you know of someone who has just been through or who is still in the midst of separation or divorce, do ask them to consider participating in the RR support group. Non-Bartley members and non-believers are welcome.

We also run the RR4K for kids 5-12 years old to help them walk through the divorce or separation of their parents. Both adult & kids DivorceCare contents are strategically coordinated to help single parents and their children find hope and healing. RR and RR4K run concurrently on the same day and time at Bartley Christian Church.
